Welcome and Weight
Hello and welcome to my first blog post! Let’s get right into it…
Last week I changed my bed sheets.
A simple chore…pull off old sheets, put on new bottom sheet, put on new top sheet, put on new comforter, put on pillowcases. No wrestling, no lifting, no fancy maneuvers. Done.
I needed my INHALER! No word of a lie. It took me 20 minutes to get my breathing back to normal. WTH?!
If that’s not rock bottom, the last straw, a sign, I don’t know what is.
I am fully aware that I am slightly overweight. My darling grandson has mentioned it to me a few times! Although I was mortified that he noticed and more than a little hurt, his comments brought me down rather than spurred me on to lose the flab. Kids say the darndest things!
I know that my clothes size keeps getting bigger, but those sizes keep getting smaller…am I right?
But an INHALER???? It’s time to take action! I am 62 years old and things are not funny anymore, this is my health, my life, and I want it to be long and healthy.
Effective today Operation Weight Loss has begun. At 62 (they tell me I am “senior”…lol) I realize this won’t be easy but I am determined.
Tuesdays will officially be known as Taking Off the Weight Tuesdays. I need to keep myself accountable, so I will be writing honestly about how my week has gone, my movement (lol), my food plan and my general battle of the bulge.
So here I go, pulling up my XL big girl pants and getting on with getting healthy…I hope you will follow along on my journey.
Til next time,
EO
